Starting at the car park push hard up Starfish and halfway up cut off right onto Smokin’, this gentle climb joins up with North Face, watch yourself this is rocky and can get slippery. Sharp left when you exit North Face onto Snake Charmer takes you up to Makara Peak and you won’t be disappointed. You are now 4.2km into the run and it is mostly all downhill from here. Continue left down Snake Charmer and then take a sharp right to connect onto Sally Alley. This is now a superb downhill run which links up with Koru on what feels like the home run. It’s not, and there is a sharp climb so keep something in the tank. A u-turn and bush bash throws you onto Live Wires back for a short uphill which connects to Magic Carpet then take your last right down SWIGG and you are on the home stretch. Enjoy the zig-zag run home but watch your step, it can get a bit slippery.

Great course this, taking in some of the best trails in the park. Tough first climb but heaps of fun then once you hit 2km a fantastic long run home. Start at the car park with an epic climb up Starfish, let the long course leave you as you continue on Starfish, weave your way along three brothers, hard left onto snake charmer to link you back up to a sharp right onto Sally Alley then follow your nose downhill. Sally Alley leads you onto Koru for a bit before you turn off to join Magic carpet that links you onto SWIGG for your lovely zig-zag home.
