With serious elevation means serious views. We promise hard climbs and superb fast flowing running downhill. Based out of Wainuiomata Mountain Bike park you are guaranteed incredible bush and good running underfoot. Starting in Waiu park enjoy wetland loop to stretch the legs before you push up your first climb. Don’t get too comfortable as your second climb is not far away before you enjoy 4km of downhill. Now… What goes down must come up. And in this case it is straight up. But have no fear. The running from here is crisp and fast all the way to the finish. No flat sections in this course. You are either up or down. 3 Climbs. Insane views, fabulous running.

2 Steep climbs will keep you honest in this run but the flowing downhills are totally worth that pain. Get the first hill out the way early. It is steep and no one is running this one. It pushes up a black mountain bike downhill so watch your footing but she is short. Watch the footing as you then navigation your own downhill in the only real technical running before you work your way back upto the ridgeline in a nice easy uphill. Before you start swearing at the ED too much enjoy the view before you start to make your way downhill for the next 7km. A slight break in the middle won’t trouble you and the flowing downhill will allow even our entry level runners to stretch the legs.

One of our longer short courses you will enjoy fabulous bush and 1 kick arse climb before stretching the legs all the way home. Spread out along wetland loop before climbing second start into a downhill Mountain bike Trail. Yes it is steep but would you want anything else? We don’t think so. It will be an experience you will be talking about for quite a while until you realise why we sent you up. You get to run down. The flowing Mountain Bike trails with amazing underfoot grip allows you to get a real taste of what Trail running is about. Trust us, it will leave you wanting more.
